A Better Way To Understand Our World

People delivering therapy understand the idea of a Presenting Problem. The issue here is client will come to a therapist repair to discuss an issue that is easy to discuss. Unfortunately, this issue is not the real problem unless the therapist understands this concept will go unsolved. What is necessary is help the client dig through presenting problem to get to the real problem and or problems. Only by doing this will therapy be successful.

The next issue is understanding Abraham Maslow, PhD’s idea of a hierarchy of needs. These needs are arranged in a pyramid basic needs, such as shelter, food, social relationships, etc. are at the bottom of the pyramid. Going up our social and psychological the way up the pyramid to spiritual needs. Any of these needs that are not met acceptably, will be met in a manner that is usually not socially acceptable.

The next concern I have for old understand the power of words. Without understanding this words will be used indiscriminately uses and we will end up dehumanizing people. By doing this, we create violence no longer see people as people.

The way to deal with the trauma of dehumanization. Once we dehumanize people, trauma is planted in our brain and will wait there to be be triggered. Therapy called EMDR,  Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is 90% effective.

Another way to deal with Trauma is to use Marshall Rosenberg, PhD’s method  which is called Nonviolent Communication. This process puts feelings back in to our conversations and permits us both to repair and to avoid similar problems in the future.

I hope that this post helps us all to understand how people work so that we can increase peace in the world. The is the goal of Better Outcomes.
